Styled on equipment retrieved from an ancient, disused rocket launch control centre, TriOsc features three oscillators with samples of valve sine and triangle waveforms taken from a rack of vintage test equipment to create dense clusters of retro sci-fi electronica.

Unique to TriOsc, however, is the 'SERENDIPITY' button (labelled '?'). You see, TriOsc has a mind and being of its own.

The Dubreq Stylophone was a runaway success in the '70s, not so much within musical circles (although they have been used by such luminaries as David Bowie, Kraftwerk and Pulp) but as a gimmick, a toy, a marketing success story.
The Hollow Sun Stylophone's samples come from an original Stylophone a friend found in his attic, something he had as a lad and had almost forgotten about.
The UI is very simple with a simple level and tone control.

The Moog Taurus bass pedal synth was a totally unique product (then and now) in that it was a simple bass synth that could be played with the feet.

The Taurus was originally planned as a component of a big synth system called 'Constellation' comprising the 'Apollo' (later to become the PolyMoog) for chords, the 'Lyra' for melodies and the Taurus pedals for bass accompaniment and the proposed system was not unlike some huge (and expensive!) hi-tech organ. Of course, this system never really saw the light of day but the PolyMoog and Taurus were sold separately instead (whatever happend to the 'Lyra'?!).

If one product was responsible for toppling the monopoly held by the DX7 and D50 during the early eighties, it was the legendary Korg M1 and its successsors.

With a tiny (by today's standards) ROM of just 4MB, Korg squeezed a fantastic (for the time) range of sounds in there which, combined with COMBIS, drum programs, a multitrack sequencer and built in multi-FX meant we had the first hardware DAW - a self contained music keyboard which could be used stand alone to make complete pieces of music - a glimpse of the future.
