My Sex Robot follows three robot fetishists in their quest to find a futuristic lover, and the engineers who believe they could make their dreams come true.Robot fetishists are a little understood subculture, but in this film they talk openly about their desire for a mechanical lover: for one wholl give sex on demand, never answers back, and doesnt expect a cuddle.There are a few giggle-behind-your-hand-moments but once youre past the playground desire to point and laugh at anyone a bit different, its engrossing stuff.

Set in a future Earth (2035 A.D.) where robots are common assistants and workers for their human owners, this is the story of robotophobic Chicago Police Detective Del Spooner s investigation into the murder of Dr. Alfred Lanning, who works at U.S. Robotics, in which a robot, Sonny , appears to be implicated, even though that would mean the robot had violated the Three Laws of Robotics, which is apparently impossible. It seems impossible because.. if robots can break those laws, there s nothing to stop them from taking over the world, as humans have grown to become completely dependent upon their robots. Or maybe... they already have? Aiding Spooner in his investigation is a psychologist, Dr. Susan Calvin, who specializes in the psyches of robots.

Dr. Vasi (Rajnikanth) invents a super-powered robot, Chitti, in his own image. The scientific body, AIRD, that must approve the robot, declines it based on its not having emotions and the ability to make rational judgment. A sudden flash of lightning evokes emotions in the robot, and Chitti is seemingly ready for integration into the human world. Then, Chitti falls in love with Dr. Vasi s fiancee Sana (Aishwarya Rai) and turns on his creator.
