Feudal Society, first published in the 1960s, presents Marc Bloch's classic analysis of fuedal society; clearly it remains on many academic reading lists. Although newer and in more specialized studies of fuedalism have been published, Bloch's two volume set remains a cornerstone in Medieval Studies.
